Onboarding
Setting up your wallet
Flaex is currently open for all EVM wallet. If you don't have a wallet yet, you can easily get started with Rabby or Metamask.
Connecting your wallet
Once you've set up your wallet, connect it by clicking the "Connect Wallet" button on the Trade page.
If you encounter the message "Your wallet is not connected to Arbitrum," click "Add Arbitrum" or adding it manually on chainlist to add the respective network to your wallet.
Blockchain limitation
As Flaex operates as a decentralized exchange, all data queries and transaction submissions rely on an RPC URL. At times, the RPC URL might become less responsive, leading to slow or incomplete data loading on your page. Additionally, using the public Arbitrum RPC URL (https://arb1.arbitrum.io/rpc) could result in rate limit issues, causing 429 errors.
If you encounter these issues, you can continue using the exchange by switching to a backup URL or adjusting the RPC URL in your wallet's network settings. This should improve page loading speed.
You can find a list of available RPC URLs and their current statuses on Chainlist.
Sending Tokens
To begin trading, you'll need to have USDC in your Arbitrum account. You can purchase or swap USDC directly on Arbitrum via Uniswap V3 here or through the "Buy ETH" options available on the Buy page (depending on your connected network).
If you have ETH on other networks, you can also bridge it to Arbitrum using any bridge that supports EVM chains.
Depositing and Withdrawing Assets
The first step in trading with Flaex is to deposit your funds. Flaex accepts USDC as the stable-coin for trading.
Behind the scenes, users’ USDC will be deposited into Aave, even if users are not performing any trades, their balance would still yield interest and increase over time, making Flaex one of a very few trading exchanges who offer yield on its users’ balance.
Flaex also leverages Permit 2 Contract by Uniswap to make depositing much safer and convenient. Users would not have to approve the spending allowance if they have already done so via Permit 2.
Depositing and Withdrawing Assets cost zero gas fees thanks to EIP-1271. However, users can always call withdrawal directly to Flaex’s smart contract at their disposal, meaning fFaex has no authority to hold its users’ funds.
